Thanks for giving a workaholic a moment of peace and much needed relaxation.

One of the most relaxing 30 minutes of my life. Total relaxation while floating. My wife and I did this and we both thought it was amazing.

The absolute best place to relax!  I literally leave there feeling completely stress free.  Be prepared – it’s addicting.

If you have an extra 20 minutes you can spare, please take my advice and treat yourself to a water – touchless massage.  I believe it was only 25.00.  After the session was done, my body was totally relaxed.  Awesome Experience:)

Was my first experience, I initially messed up and reserved for a different location but the guy took care of it and got me in and was very informative about what to expect. I came out feeling refreshed and will probably do the 2 hour session one a month.

I recieved a float session as a gift and when I had questions about the certificate information on file Ray was really nice to help me with that info so that booking my appointment online would be easy.  I feel like he went above and beyond which makes me even more excited about booking a session with The Float Spot.  Super nice and helpful guy!

I was browsing around for spas to take my girlfriend to and found this wonderful place. Took the stress off both of us and felt re-energized. The staff is very nice, the place is clean and even smells clean. I did an hour in the iso-pod and wow, that float was incredible. I have never felt better in my life.

Wonderful hospitality and experience. Calm and clean atmosphere. Float tanks allow complete relaxation and escape from reality. Definitely coming back!

The FLOAT SPOT is THE best place for floating…  I’ve been over 5 times and each time I’ve had an amazing experience.   The customer service from the owner and his sons is always top notch.  They have never been rude, rushing or inconsiderate.  To the contrary, they are always polite, accommodating and personable; which adds to the experience.  The facility is always inviting, clean, pleasant and modern.  I’ve been to the other float place in Dallas, and there is no comparison. I love the atmosphere there.  If time permitted, I would go weekly.

I tell everyone to try floating…so if you try it, you MUST go to The Float Spot!!!  Highly recommend!

Really really cool stuff. Couldn’t feel my body.

This spa is amazing ! I have visited on multiple occasions and the staff members are always extremely kind and very helpful. I find that a 60 minute float session helps take away all the extra stress.

The price is very good and reasonable when compared to other spas. They also offer discounts and coupons when you visit.

My sweet hubby surprised me with a date to the float spot – something I’d always been interested to try, but something I would’ve never guessed HE’D be down for!  The staff here is excellent; friendly and walk you through everything so you know exactly what to do.  Laying in the water was definitely a unique experience; Its pretty neat to float with absolutely no effort at all!  Personally, I liked having the light on the whole time, as it was just a bit TOO dark for me lights off.  Also, they play beachy music at the beginning and end, but if they’d allow it, I’d like to hear that the whole time because that’s much more relaxing to me than total silence. (Plus I love the beach!)  Post float we did a hydromassage and that was the best!  Definitely spring for that if you’re checking out the float spot!

This is one of the best float centers I have been too. Excellent customer service, and smells great when you walk in. The floats are typically an hour, but the tanks are very nice. Highly recommended to anyone with back pain or soreness.

Was greeted by the owner who was pretty nice and explained what they had to offer. This was a surprise Christmas gift from a friend which was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated.
We had the aquamassage and it was awesome for the price. Chose hard pressure and it was perfect. Because its water I didn’t think it would even do anything but it surely did. You get to choose what kind of scent you want. Will definitely come back and refer other friends

So…i heard about this float therapy from a friend…

It was a very busy week and my favorite massage therapist
was all booked.
I figured fine why not.

And all i can say is wow!

Playing sports all my life, ive had every kind of massage
one can think of…while massages are great..this was
a very interesting experience!

Once you get in the tank things can be a bit overwhelming at
first but its so quiet and relaxing you start to feel like your
drifting away in space (i know it sounds dramatic…but you have to try for yourself)

The staff is very calm, cool and collected…it basically
starts to rub off on you as soon as you walk in

They explained everything really well and made  sure i felt
comfortable as this was my very first time trying this.

Anyways im very glad i tried Float Spot!

I was greeted buy a very pleasant owner Ray. He was very comfortable and informed me on what to do from start to finish. The place smelled so good. Like clean rain. The pod seemed intimidating at first but within 20 minutes I was in and out of sleep and my body was very heavy and relaxed. I got out and showered, then when to the back room where they provide deodorant, and hair products including blow dryers to use. Unfortunately I am from out of town but will recommend it to anyone who lives in the area. I would advise the membership. My skin feels so rejuvenated and soft. I am glad I picked The Float Spot to float for my first time.

Now some tips for first timers which I wished I knew: Do not go if you have cuts like even a hang nail. My hand burned like a mother f****r. Also women don’t go with your hair done obviously but also make up. Your face will get wet. I brought my own deo and brush but they do provide it.

I’ve been a fan of floating for a few years when I lived in Chicago and was excited to find this place. I decided to give it a try and say I was impressed. I was a little nervous about the pod style as I had not experienced that before but I had no issues adjusting. Super easy and the thunderstorm sounds at the beginning and end was perfect. The customer service was top notch and I felt a total reset. I have a hard time falling asleep during the floats, this time I did not. I felt so relaxed that I didn’t even realize the time had passed. Give this place a try, you’ll love it!!!

7/23/2015

Oh my god.  If you need to distress and float your cares away.  Come here.  It felt weird at first but before I knew it I was asleep and in la la land.  Check them out

7/26/2015

I went there for the first time yesterday and I loved it!  As soon as you walk in, you see smiling faces and smell all the good smells and start to relax immediately.  I had no idea what I was in for or what to do, and the super-friendly staff explained everything step by step.  I started with the hydro-massage per their recommendation and it was a great way to start to unwind.  After that, I was led to my room with the float pod and took a quick shower.  I was skeptical because I thought I’d be bored after 10 minutes, but I wasn’t.  I liked it pitch black, so I kept the light off.  I loved that you can hear the relaxing sounds that are piped in as you float.  I just “laid” there for an hour, arms stretched out above my head (that was the most comfortable for me.  I drifted in and out of sleep, and the hour flew by.  I didn’t want to leave!  I signed the wall, bought a huge bath bomb that smelled incredible, and was on my way.  I was prepared for a pitch on buying a membership, which I don’t like, but there was no pressure to buy anything at all.

I’d definitely recommend this place.  The facility is very clean and inviting, and the staff is extremely nice and helpful.  I slept like a baby that night.  I’ll be back for sure.

I’m still trying to think how to explain this experience, so forgive the nonsensical words I’m about to write. Relaxed (but not tired), peaceful (not worried about a thing), confused (how did floating in a tub make feel like this), quiet (really quiet mind), thirsty!

Totes thirsty!!  Bring water with you…you know how salty things makes you thirsty?  Try lounging in 11,000 pounds of salt for an hour. I could drink from a fire hose right now.  It would be a nice amenity for them to offer cold cucumber water or something but maybe they don’t because each person would drink a gallon.

The experience–the “pods” are way bigger than I expected. It is kinda science fiction looking and new agey fun. I told myself I could step in and come out 5000 years in the future or some parallel universe like all the DC shows. I didn’t have anxiety about the pod being closed because it was so spacious and I left the pretty blue light on so I’d have my bearings if I opened my eyes.

I liked the music and wish I had asked for it to be on the whole time. I find it easier to calm my mind with some white noise. Was I calm and settled the whole time?  Nope. It took time to settle my breathing and let go. I tried to meditate and think about the universe then I thought about errands and then I realized I was wasting my hour, so I just played around and tried NOT to think. You swirl around, stretch your muscles, bump against the sides and swirl your hair around. It’s fun to be weightless, floating and not thinking. So many people have comments like ‘transcendent’ and ‘spiritual’. I don’t feel like that but I had my own moment and will do it again!

Tips: bring water, bring lotion because your skin will want it. Just have fun.

10/29/2017
Hands down the best place to float anywhere. It’s the only place I’ll go or send my clients to. Plus the ownership and staff are amazing and treat you like family. I highly recommend.

Booked via Yelp

The service here is wonderful. They truly care about your experience and they make sure it was satisfactory. I love the pods I typically can’t be in there for longer than 30min but I could see how some people could! Go on a day when you can clear your schedule and take full advantage of what this rest can do for your body! (It will even help you sleep better at night.)My only suggestion would be do to all the salt in the pod, don’t touch your brows or eyes it will seep into your eyes and it’s not much fun 🙂 FYI- pregnant women: do this! It’s a awesome way to feel your baby better than before!

I decided to try something different today.  The Float Spot was the winner!!  Very unique relaxation experience.  I opted for the 1 hour float at $65.00.  They have a shorter 30 minute float, but I thought it would take me that long to even get relaxed as I was a first time floater.

I was advised that if I sleep with a fan or some sort of noise at night, to keep the relaxing music on the entire time.  My friend choose to only have it on for the first 5 minutes and the last 10 minutes as she sleeps silent.

Each room is equipped with a private shower, changing bench, earplugs, towel, and floating pod.  You are given a tour and instructions on what to do and what to expect.  Easy peasy!! Quick rinse before getting into the pod and then an hour of turning your mind off.  Or, that’s the idea!!

My mind is not easily able to unwind, but I did find that this experience was relaxing and I was able to clearly think about my day’s plans or future plans I had.  I never went to sleep and I am not sure it is full sensory deprivation, or at least not for me.

Near the end of the hour, the pod was getting a little hot from my own breathing and I had to open it up just a little to let some cool air in.  If I ever I do this again, I might leave a towel in the opening to keep it open just a little as the door closes shut on its own and it would keep some fresh air circulating.

When you get out of the pod, be sure to have that towel handy and keep your mouth closed.  When you get out the extremely salty water will run down your face and into your eyes.  You can immediately walk 2 feet to your private shower and wash off.  The showers are stocked with shampoo, condition, and body soap.

There is a small room in the back with blow dryers and some beauty products.  I would suggest bringing your own products with you.

Overall, this was a great experience and I will give it another try to see if now that I know how it all works, I can truly let my mind drift away to pure relaxation.

The Float Spot Frisco is an oasis where you can disconnect from the outside world and have some “me time”. The staff was very helpful and walked me through everything that I needed to know for my first float. I will definitely be coming back.

8/22/2015

The experience started out when I walked in , the staff are helpful, encouraging and patient and supportive . I got to speak with the owner a super nice guy and knowledgable . The facility is clean and well maintained. I did the hydromassage and then the float . Awesome experience will definitely go back and take friends and family there . I felt relaxed and centered for at least 3-4 days afterwards

7/22/2014

I’ll be back!! This was a very cool experience. You literally float in a pod that is filled with epson salt.  It’s so relaxing!!

I went the full mile and did the hydro massage afterwards. I was basically worthless for the next hour.

The staff was Super nice and interested in my experience.

Relaxing doesn’t really come easy to me.  I figured I might be doomed trying to relax for a 60 minutes. I saw some claustrophobia in my future (the pod looks small but it’s 8 feet long) or blackout and drown….ruining the experience. Luckily, none of these  happened. The cleanliness played a Big part in my relaxing success.  It was one of the cleanest facilities I have been in. Ever.

They provide sulfate free shower products and a small primp area so you can head back into the world.

The owner suggested going as late in the afternoon as possible so you can head straight to bed.

Check them out!

I came here for a girl’s day with 4 other girls this past Saturday and the girls and I absolutely loved it! My husband arranged everything with Ray ahead of time as a surprise for us and we were definitively surprised!  Ray (the owner) and his staff are extremely helpful and very nice in explaining how everything worked.  Everything is extremely clean and well maintained, lights were dimmed, had a very relaxed feel to the space right when we walked in.

I was hesitant at first about floating as it’s very hard for me to relax and drift off… 10 minutes in and I was out and woke up an hour later. Best. Sleep. Ever. I recommend taking your contacts out before floating as it will burn if you get it in your eyes but it doesn’t last long.  They have showers for you in each room as well when you’re done and also provide earplugs for you when you float. You can still hear the music they play through the water, yes, through the water, it was such a neat experience!

The girls all loved it, one had a hydro massage (there’s only 4 float tanks) and she is definitely planning on coming back as are the rest of us!

This is a nice place to float.  The owner, Ray is nice, professional, & a friendly person.  Not only my family & I float here, but I also recommend this type of therapy to my clients.  I am a Massage Therapist, Magnesium is used on my massages often & I find it super helpful.  Now, think about floating in over 1K lbs of Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate)?  If you never tried, you need to give it a try.  The list of benefits is looooooooooooong.

You can choose music, lights… they provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, towel & they also have a mini “beauty bar” it has combs, hair products, chairs & a hair dryer.  Also, a bathroom available on site.  I prefer to bring my own hair brush & products, but it is good to know they have those items available.

Before & after floating you need to rinse off/shower.  It is more enjoyable IF you don’t shave right before floating… why?  The salt would make your skin burn.  Hair dyes…. it is recommended to float only a week or more after so the dye doesn’t “contaminate” the water.  The water is clean & they have a very efficient filtering system.  You do not have to wear a bathing suit or any clothes, unless you feel more comfortable wearing something.  If do, then bring an extra set of underwear so you don’t stay wet.

Awesome for chronic pain sufferers, stressed out people, tight muscles, athletes, jet leg, sleeping deprivation, ADHD, Anxiety, & any person who want to improve their quality of life – naturally.  There is not a lot contraindications really & the list of benefits is looooooooong.

Pretty much, come in with an open mind & enjoy what floating therapy can do for you.

I don’t normally review places on Yelp unless I find it 5 star worthy. Let me first say that floating is something that everyone should try once, but it may not be for everyone. While I believe massages are for the body, a float is more for the mind.

The float spot is incredibly clean and the staff are extremely friendly. I went in for my first float and they helped me throughout the whole process. You have a choice to have music play throughout your float or to have the light on or off. Once you are inside, it is like being on a cloud. I won’t go into to much detail about my floating experience, but since it was my first time it took about 15 minutes to adjust to floating comfortably. Afterwards, I was able to lean my neck back and push my chin forward, I was able to think clearly and relax.

In your life, you are always being engaged in some activity. Your brain is constantly thinking and never gets time to take a break. Do yourself a favor and give yourself an hour to re-energize. You’ll feel rejuvenated.

TL;DR- clean environment, friendly staff. The fact that you are reading reviews on Yelp is telling me you are interested. Just go ahead and do it.

12/3/2016

I love it here! This is the most relaxing thing I’ve ever done. I enjoy the process from beginning to end. I do about 1 hour twice a week. As soon as I walk in, every staff member you encounter is SO friendly. They remember me by name and alway greet me!  When I float, sometimes I fall asleep, sometimes I have an amazing meditation but I always leave feeling refreshed and recharged. GREAT place all around!

We drove an hour to get here after I conversed with Ray the owner by Facebook. His son was here, Zack, who was fantastic. We waited while my husband “floated” and I can honestly say I haven’t seen him enjoy something so much in all 6 years we’ve been together. Definitely going to make this a “thing” for him.

11/25/2015

Complete sensory adventure!  I suffer from back pain, and at 6 months pregnant (almost 7), I am pretty much willing to try anything.  So, when my usual masseuse canceled on me, my husband suggested I try a float as he has been a few times. I tend to have ruminating thoughts/anxiety, and I did initially have a hard time switching off my brain (When will the ocean waves sound stop? When will the lights turn off? What if I get salt in my eyes? What do I do with my arms? Will I bump into the walls?) When it was finally completely still and dark, my mind was able to wander a bit and I found myself beginning to relax. I’m glad I choose the 60 minute session (upon recommendation of my husband), because otherwise I may not have given myself enough time to just let go. The best part?  Once I began to calm down, so did baby! He was no longer doing his Cirque routine, and it was so peacefully quiet that I was able to hear his heartbeat! I even drifted off enough that I hadn’t realized I was snoozing until I snored myself awake.

All in all, very cool experience and I will happily try again (if only they would open a Firewheel location *Hint, Hint*). But, the Frisco location was very nice and close to the Joint, which I cruised on over to after the float for a quick adjustment. Back is feeling good, mind is well rested, and my wallet isn’t broken – WIN! (Please excuse any typos – preggo brain ain’t no joke!)

First time floating and I could not be any more happier. The staff is very nice and gave me an orientation of how the floating process goes. The first thing I notice about this place is how CLEAN it is. From the room to the showers to the actual float pod, it’s really immaculate. The floating itself is very relaxing and I was provided with ear plugs. You have a choice of music or the lights being on/off and it’s all personal preference. This is quite an experience that you don’t want to miss. I had the best sleep when I got home after floating.

I am 20 weeks pregnant and could hear my baby girl’s heartbeat. It was really awesome!!

9/26/2015

So I went per a suggestion of a colleague.  It sounded weird but I thought try anything once.  So first off as many have pointed out the staff are very friendly and explained the whole process.  Since I was still a little skeptical I chose the 30 minute float instead of the 60.  I was not pressured to buy any longer which I thought was pretty upstanding a lot of spa places will up sell the hell out of you.

So I went in the back room and as everyone has mentioned you shower and go in pod naked and just relax and float.  I thought they said it would be 5 minutes before going dark which made me anxious when it didn’t happen but after I noticed it was 10 anyway once it went dark it is hard to describe you just go in your own place and it is so relaxing it was dark 15 minutes before light and sound slowly started again but it seemed like it had only been 2 minutes once it was dark.  So definitely next time I am floating 60 minutes.  One after effect your skin feels great afterwards so I know a lot of the women will like that.  There memberships are a no brainer and like others said I was not pressured to buy anything.  I think it has a lot to do with the product is so good they don’t need to.  I will be coming back many times in future

11/6/2015

Love this place… Owners are awesome, friendly folks, their sons are just as great. The aqua massage with aromatherapy is customizable for pressure and location and it’s nice not to have to get undressed. We make a point of coming for a massage at least once a week! The float tanks are perfect with different lighting and music options. It’s a great way to get muscles to relax and so soothing. Love the online reservation system, makes it so easy to get in and out quickly.

10/8/2015

Coolest place ever!! So what’s not amazing about a futuristic detox pod that charges your body with energy  but makes your relaxed and mentally clear? This is something everyone needs to try, the place is so clean and well kept. A mid day snooze or evening appointment to wind down is great, I did my session in the morning and spent the rest of my day in a great mood and not feeling tired despite getting minimal sleep the night before. I travel a lot so this is going to be my go to stop to cure my jet lag and travel fatigue so I can stay mentally focused.

I can only imagine how effective a floating treatment is after any massage (try the hydro massage they offer) I always received a similar treatment at the chiropractors but the one here is really amazing.

The Float Spot is such a cool concept that you have to try for yourself!

3/11/2018
If you are pregnant… DO THIS! I’m 32 weeks and have heard amazing things about float therapy. This exceeded my expectations.

The owner is so kind and attentive. He kindly walked me through every detail even to finding the music that would meet my personality. He is great at making you feel welcome and comfortable.

I was ready for an interesting experience being pregnant and all, but I didn’t realize how intimate it would be for baby and me. When floating, I was able to feel almost every limb and curve of his little body. Laying there relaxing and connecting with my son was magical. He was very relaxed and didn’t move away from my touch. It was such a special moment.

Again, do this… especially if you are pregnant. Yeah, the relief of back pain and all the other benefits are amazing but the connection between you and your baby is so special.

I’ve been a floater for several years but only recently discovered Float Spot. I’m a massage therapist and recommend floating as an additional method of stress and pain relief. It works, I promise! I’ve floated after a grueling weekend of nonstop massages, and left feeling like a million bucks! I have been to other Float spas where the tank  is like an oversized bathtub, so I was worried I’d feel claustrophobic since it’s a pod. But there’s plenty of room in there and I felt very comfortable closing the lid. However, you do have the option of keeping it open if you choose. I highly recommend this place!

5/18/2017

The customer service here is fabulous… keep it up!  Facility was very clean.

Overall floating experience:

Like everyone else, my nerves got the better part of the first 10 mins of my first-timer float session.  I started to relax but then my earplugs kept floating out of my ears & then my ears would fill with a rush of salt water.  Then every once in awhile I would randomly get salt in my eye which was unfortunate…

However- for the pockets of time where I got to just lie there and float and not feel anything, it really was a unique experience.  I’m not a fidgety person but I did find myself fidgeting a bit, almost like I was getting bored.

Best part: after my float session I went home and slept the deepest sleep I’ve ever slept in my life.  It was incredible!  They tell you that you’ll sleep hard afterward and they’re right!

I do recommend everyone try this at least once.  I may not be back (too fidgety) but I can see how it’s a wonderful experience for those who need to relax!!

I went for a 60 min. session at The Float Spot today and it was pretty cool. I didn’t think much of it when I left other than it was a nice place to relax and do something different. What is AMAZING is my neck and shoulders, which remain rocks 24/7 are completely soft and released!!!! I’m a noodle!!! I cannot believe it! No one would have convinced me until I tried it!!! I will most definitely go again. Although I LOVE massage, it does not work out my knots the way The Float did!!! Check it out!

My wife and I had gone to another Float place  in Dallas and hated our experience but coming here it was amazing! I’ve been training for a half marathon and up upped my mileage so I’ve been really sore lately and after doing an hour in the tank I feel really good and not sore at all anymore. The staff was amazing and really took care of me. The facility was extremely clean and I felt relaxed from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left. If you go HERE you will have an amazing experience
