It started

A world away. A new perspective.
In a Sydney pub, our founder met athletes from the Australian Institute of Sport. The conversation turned to floating: an unfamiliar way to rest, recover, and step away from the everyday.
That encounter led to eight months of research, a family decision to take a leap, and the beginnings of The Float Spot.
Dallas, Texas / a name on the roadA growing idea found its name.
On a trip to explore Dallas, a shuttle marked “The Parking Spot” sparked a thought: The Float Spot. An unexpected moment gave the new experience a name.

We opened The Float Spot in 2010 to make an unfamiliar experience feel approachable, personal and within reach.
We're still here because we kept listening - to the curious first-timer, the regular who needs an hour back, and the person who simply knows they want to feel different.
